About Me

Hello!
I’m Angeleo Alonzo, a Civil Engineering Student from Chicago, currently studying at Florida Polytechnic University.

I care deeply about the proper management of transportation and water infrastructure, as I think many people take for granted the ongoing effort necessary to provide these resources to the general public. As a result, there’s decades of decrepit infrastructure in the U.S. that needs replacement to this day. Infrastructure, almost definitionally, is the foundation on which communities are built. Mismanaged infrastructure harms not only individual’s quality of life, but stunts economic growth, as it encompasses all of a community’s needs.

In my free time, I participate in my University’s Choral Group, Violet Voices. I’ve been in choir since elementary school, going on to then join my high school concert choir and tenor-bass a capella group.

As many of my peers do, I also love video games. I love Minecraft mods that utilize creative problem solving such as GregTech: New Horizons, and team-based games such as Valorant. I even enjoy watching VCT, Valorant’s pro-esports tournament series. As an environmentally-conscious esports enthusiast, I’m also invested in seeing how different esport companies and organizations plan on handling their carbon emissions as the industry rapidly grows.
